Sherlock is a British television crime drama that presents a contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, it stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. Six episodes have been produced, the first three of which aired in 2010. Series two aired in 2012, and a third series began production in March 2013. The series has been sold to over 180 territories.

I personally love the long episodes. I have a craving for it. I do not have much hope there will be more episodes more frequently. I wish the seasons were a little longer too. All the released episodes right now could basically be in one season as it is. I love Benedict Cumberbatch in all his roles he plays. He is one of my favourite actors. I love the "thought" process and how it shows texts/math/ whatever on the screen that it gets you thinking. It makes me interactive with the show in a sens

the most annoying thing about this show really is the 90 min per episode !! Really they could have reduced that to 60 minutes easily !!

I loved season 4 fom a dramatic point of view with all it's twist and turns... But.. Meh... the 'cases' are always about someone of the group with some personal meaning for thst person. I wouldn't mind just to see eps where they solve one mystery at a time. You know the old fashion Doyle way, unrelatedt to the characters. On the other hand, we just get 3 eps... But I wonder how they want to top that. So far Season 3 is my favourite of all.

I am so glad that this show is back! I waited a long time for this! They should really make a few more episodes longer. 3 episodes per season is such so short even if its 1 hr 30 mins per episode. -

Sherlock is by far the most exciting and thought-provoking TV programme I have ever seen. The series is so well planned and the script is incredible not to mention the fact that Benedict and Martin are a perfect Holmes and Watson. This is my favourite show ever!

Loved this show and its cast! Well Sherlock was portrayed as quiet an ignorant psychopath who called himself a "Sociopath" craving to solve murders all the time but that was what made his character the cutest one in entire cast! Friendship bond btwn Dr. Watson and Mr Holmes Jr. and cute rivalry btwn the Holmes Brothers and Sherlock's love for Irena Adler ;P was all that made this season one of its Kind! -

I only started watching this show when it was on TV. I must, this is quite a show. Suspense, drama, action and a little comedy and wit. Here's to you Steven Moffat, you make me want to strangle you from what you put my favourite characters through. But I've got to say, you've done a good job while you're at it. -

this show is simply brilliant. 've always loved sherlock holmes stories and this one is very wel written and the actors are very talented. i love the way they play thir roles and i seriously hope they'll make more episodes. really worth watching. -
I know the new episode got a lot of negative reviews but i enjoyed it for the most part. Or at least it was fascinating if somewhat hard to believe. It was stil extremely watchable for the lead characters. -
i been hooked on novels about Sherlock Holmes (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) since it was a mandatory reading in my school. This show is simply brilliant because it gets nearly all the "details" of each case perfectly just as in the novels. As far as all the reviews that grumbled about this being a "copy of Dr. House" - lets think who copied who first. Some that found the show boring are just too dull to follow/understand the story, after watching too many hollywood knock-offs. -

They perfectly captured the original sherlock series in a modern-day world! Sherlock still has the essence of a genius 1900s detective, while keeping it current and exciting! Great show! -
